“Greyhound Underground Railroad”

You just might be wondering “what is a GUR run”? GUR is short for “Greyhound Underground Railroad” and it is the transport of retired racers from where they are to where they need to be. Either from the kennels at the farm or track to the adoption group or sometimes from the adoption group to a home across the country. A GUR run requires a group effort from many volunteers across the United States, and a coordinator, to make sure everyone meets up at the right location and time.
