Winnie is a sweet, funny, and playful little girl. She raced at a track in Daytona, but after an injury, she is looking forward to putting her paws up and enjoying retirement. She shows her
happiness with the famous, and somewhat rare, greyhound “smile”. When she’s excited, she shows all of her teeth, like a big ha-ha. She’s very gentle and she’ll either sniff or lick your hand.
She’s started to play with stuffies and loves to investigate the house & yard. She voluntarily goes in her crate to lie down & has no problem going in there when her foster family leaves the house. She absolutely loves food, but does not get aggressive about it. She conquered the stairs on her first day in her foster home and even goes down the basement. She gets along great with her foster grey and shows no interest in the two cats in the home. She’s also been totally accepting of their 4-year-old granddaughter, who is a giant ball of energy. Winnie will be a fine addition to any family.
