Twister Beaver is a real sweet boy who also loves kids He is a lover too but not a kisser. He can make you laugh a some of his movements as his body kind of twists sideways and up and down. He will go to his crate on his own to go to bed at night. Twister is not cat safe.
Twister was adopted by Kevin and Susan Buza on 07/29/2004.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to our Twisty on Tuesday. His body had given out on him and we were forced to make the decision to let him go. Twister and I saw each other monthly for the 5-6 months he was up for adoption. From day one, Indy, our first greyhound loved him. And so did I; he would become my heart dog. But Twister was listed as not cat safe. And he was a big, exhuberant, black greyhound who was daunting compared to our mild manner Indy. After one M&G where a volunteer brought a rescue kitten with her in a shopping cart and Twister looked like he was going to eat her only to sniff then ignore her, I asked about taking Twister for a weekend to see if we could work with him and the kitties. We were sold when by Sunday, Indy (who didn’t share well) was taking toys to Twister to drop them at his feet. A week or so later we signed the adoption papers at a bbq at Margaret’s where Twister stole at least one hot dog/hamburger and some dip off the tables while we were there. 🙂 He completed intro and advanced obedience classes (was recommended for Rally Obedience since he did SO well) with “valedictorian” honors but never gave up the counter-surfing. He did learn to avoid getting caught – he would check to see if you were busy before taking something so we learned if Twister was seeking us out we had to go see what he was planning. 🙂 And he also lived up to his name Twister as Twister could do spins like no other greyhound I’ve seen since, complete with a crazy long helicopter tail (subject of many happy tail episodes!). He will be sorely missed by our family. Maddie took the news surprisingly well Tuesday night, asking with tears why and how. She woke up yesterday morning and said in a very forlorn voice that her Twister was gone for the rest of her life. And then proceeded to spend most of the morning before our Halloween activities creating a song about about him, how she would miss him and he would miss her which was the best way I could think of to mourn him. We’ve shared a good number of tears about him remembering his silliness; the house even with the crazy whippets is just not the same without him. Hug your pups, even having over eight years with Twister seems not enough and every day should be treasured.
