Melanie has been with me since Thursday evening and has been the perfect house guest thus far. She is a petite girl, weighing in at 58 lbs, with absolutely perfect black eye liner and a tail that never stops wagging. She wants nothing more than to be near ‘her people’ (even if that means laying on the floor/carpet/rug instead of a dog bed) but is rarely underfoot. We have not had a chance to go through all of her commands from the TGIE program, but she knows sit, lay down, and stay reliably. She sits until you release her to eat her breakfast and also when she thinks shes in trouble. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in my room and crates like a dream for the 9-10 hours I am gone at work. She is happy to follow the lead of my 3 with no signs of trying to be the boss. Melanie is fairly food m otivated, but eats both kibble and treats daintily. She loves to run around in my yard and is starting to join in on the games of chase that usually ensue. She has not shown much interest in toys, but Im sure that will change as she settles in.

Oh, and did I mention that she has the most adorable, perfect mohawk that runs the length of her neck?!
