At 72lbs, Vito is a compact little bundle of joy. He wags his tail almost constantly and has never met a stranger. He is cat safe, gets along nicely with other dogs and loves people of all ages. Vito sleeps all night quietly in his crate, is relatively house broken and mastered the stairs on his first day in his foster home.

Vito has made a list of the qualities he’d like in his forever home:

Must have lots of toys. He likes balls, plush squeaky toys and enjoys a good chew on a Nylabone. He can be a little over-exuberant with plush toys so care should be taken to remove them when they get torn so he doesn’t eat a squeaker.
Would like his meals to be served on time. He has a hearty appetite and meal time is one of his favorites.
Must provide lots of attention and petting. Although Vito is not a clingy dog, he really appreciates s a good ear rub and thrives on attention.
Walks. Even if you have a fenced yard, which Vito would love to run and play in, he really loves his walks around the neighborhood. It gives him more opportunities to interact with people, other dogs and the environment, which he really enjoys.
Vito is loyal and smart and would be an excellent therapy dog candidate due to his friendliness and excellent demeanor. He accepts bathing, grooming, ear cleaning, and even having a squeaker removed from his mouth with no complaints. He allows me to take away toys and food and will try new things immediately if treats are offered, so he should be a breeze to obedience train. He also gets excited when you engage him in play but doesn’t jump up on people which is also a therapy dog plus. Vito will probably do well with children.
I just can’t say enough about him. He’s just a really lovely dog – happy, handsome, well-behaved, friendly.
