Hi, I’m Rusken. Do you see my happy face? That’s because I’m so excited to be retired and living in a home. There are so many new things to discover and they are all fun!

I’ve discovered I don’t need to take food from the counter and I don’t need to gulp my food down – no one is going to take it and there is always enough for me. The leaves falling from the sky are not scary – I try to catch them now. I get my own quilts and dog beds to snuggle with — and the toys, they are very fun, too.

In my foster home, there are lots of other dogs to run and play with, along with cats (who I totally leave alone). My favorite foster brother is a shepherd named Bandit. I follow him around and snuggle with him. Of course, I also love to be petted and snuggled by my foster family, too. Now, if I could just find a forever family of my own – that would be the best.
