Fran just arrived on November 9, 2013.

Frannie is a curious, active girl who has a lot of “puppy” in her yet at the tender age of 2. She has no problems crating and has had no accidents in the house. She has finally gotten the hang of going up the staircase and now bounds up and down the steps with ease. She walks well on a leash and is very observant and curious about her surroundings…however, she hasn’t gone potty while on a leash yet. She notices and watches the 2 resident cats with curosity and has barked at them when they enter the room. A few times she has chased after them when they have surprised her by running and darting from the room but she was easily corrected. In her puppiness she mouths things and tries to start chewing…table legs, remotes, but stops quickly when corrected so we are watching her closely to help her learn that behavior is unacceptable. She is very playful and likes to throw stuffies and toys around. She has a darling personality and is a very sweet girl. There doesn’t appear to be any signs of limited mobility from her accident as she races around the yard and enjoys chasing and taunting the other dogs. She is affectionate, approaches people, and responds to everyone with tail wagging joy. She is throughly enjoying her retirement and will make a wonderful pet for some lucky family.
